When you’re making a claim there’s one simple thing to remember.
Always contact our claims team on 0208 662 4141 before seeing a consultant or receiving any treatment.
That way, you’ll always be sure of what your policy covers.
After that, how you make a claim will change depending on whether you go with BMI Healthcare, another private hospital or the NHS. But you’ll see below just how straightforward the process is.
If you choose a BMI Healthcare consultant, we will:
- Arrange your appointment
- Arrange any diagnostic tests and investigations
- Settle all costs directly (subject to policy limits)
If you choose your own private consultant you will need to:
- Arrange your appointments and settle all costs
- Send us all invoices and proof of payment.
- We will then reimburse you up to the limits of your cover.
If you choose an NHS consultant:
- You will need to arrange your appointments
- No benefits are payable as you won’t incur any costs.
