Claiming with HealthChoice
When you need to a claim on your HealthChoice policy, the last thing you want is for it to be a real headache. That’s why we’ve made claiming with HealthChoice as simple as we possibly can.
How to claim
Your first stop will be your GP and if you are referred to a consultant or specialist for diagnosis, make sure:
- Your GP completes the GP claim form and you send this to us with a completed consent form.
- You can now choose whether to have your diagnosis with the NHS or have a private diagnosis at a BMI Healthcare hospital or other private hospital.
Call the Claims team on 020 8662 4141
- Check whether we can cover the suggested treatment.
- Check the benefit limits applicable to the treatment proposed.
What happens when I claim?
If you need surgery the first thing you need to do is make sure a consultant claim form is completed and sent to us. Then call the Claims team on 020 8662 4141 to check whether we can authorise hospital admission.
What happens next depends on whether you go with BMI Healthcare, your own private hospital or NHS.
