Extra cover to choose from

If you’re diagnosed with cancer that matches any of the conditions below, we’ll pay you either £25,000 or £50,000 depending on the level of cover you choose.

• Any malignant tumor characterised by the uncontrolled growth and spread of malignant cells and invasion of tissue at the primary site
• Leukaemia
• Hodgkin’s Disease
• Malignant melanoma
• Carcinoma–in–situ of the breast
• Carcinoma–in–situ of any part of the body other than the breast

The diagnosis benefit will be £1000 for the following conditions;

• Skin cancer other than malignant melanoma
• Carcinoma in situ of any part of the body other than the breast

What’s more, if you choose this extra cover, children up to the age of 18 are covered free.

In addition to the cash payout following an assessment by one of our nurses, you will benefit from one of the following depending on which best suits your needs:

Option 1 - a personal nurse advisor who can provide home visits and phone counselling.
Option 2 - a course of physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy.
Option 3 - counselling for stress, trauma, depression, breavement etc.

Please note that this product does not cover cancers you have had before or those due to any pre-existing medical condition. Therefore, if you have had cancer before, you may not receive the cover you need.

• Stroke
• Kidney failure
• Major organ transplant
• Multiple sclerosis
• Paralysis of two or more limbs
• Blindness
• Deafness
• Loss of speech
• Alzheimer’s disease (before the age of 60)
• Parkinson’s disease (before the age of 60)
• Benign brain tumour
• Motor neurone disease (before the age of 60)

The costs of out-patient physiotherapy can soon mount up. By adding this option you’ll be covered for up to £700 worth of physiotherapy with a private hospital of your choice or 10 physiotherapy sessions with a BMI Healthcare physiotherapist per claim either pre or post operatively.

With HealthChoice Additional Expense Cover, you’ll receive a cash payout of £500 every time you’re admitted to hospital overnight for a covered surgical procedure. This money can go towards any additional expenses you may incur, such as childcare or parking fees.
